This morning I let Rosy outside in our yard.   Now since our 40 year old Blue Spruce trees are gone, I thought it would be easier to see her.   How wrong I was!  Usually she moves pretty quickly, today was no different.  Even in the piles of snow she bounced quickly outside.  Then I realized that her “flag” was gone.   Yes. Rosy has a black tail with a 4 inch white tip.   It is what I watch to track her around bushes, flower gardens, and trees.   Today reminded me that all winter is going to be more difficult.   She blends in! 63237924002_73503934002_1060_0015

Which takes me to the topic at hand.   Have you found yourself in the rush of the season?   There is so much more to do.   Gifts to buy, people to contact, and the usual chores still exist.   Already I am thinking of the out of town company.  There will be extra dinners to plan and the house needs to be cleaned well.   Our lives blend in to a chaos of non-stop projects.   Kinda’ like Rosy blending into the yard of snow.   Our time disappears so fast without being able to enjoy it.

This year I put only one smaller Christmas tree.  It is tall and thin; it has fewer decorations than normal.  The idea of packing and unpacking ornaments and garland just told me “NO” don’t do it.   Plus there is the office to keep up as well.  I am learning with aging that sometimes less is best.   It is better to keep stress at bay.

Today is St. Nicolas Day.  It was always a European tradition that we followed in our home.   The shoes went out by the door for nuts, candy, and fruit.   I wanted the children to learn about the origin of Santa Claus.  We traditionally decorate on St. Nicolas Day  and take things down after the 3 Kings celebration in January.

We all like to have choices.  The simple ones are like picking a color for coloring a picture begin to be made when we are small children.    Trying many hobbies, being in many sports, connecting with groups all help us to select more difficult choices later in life.  Now as adults there are many choices and goals we need to make as we find our way.

Let’s not get lost in the snow, the rush of the season, and lose our focus.  As the year comes to the end, I prepare for the Coaching  Packages for Private Clients.   Call if you have anything that I can help you with this year.   In the meantime, Delight in Living.  Enjoy the Mini Miracles that are all around.
