Life is a funny thing.   Sometimes when we least expect it, we find a treasure.   It can be something that we lost years ago and it magically appears between two drawers or in an old purse.   On a very windy day many years ago I was in downtown Crystal Lake.

I pulled into a spot to park.   No one was around, and I wondered why I was there alone.   It turned out it was a Holiday and I had forgotten that things were closed.   I noticed something in front of my car and walked over to find some cash plastered by the wind against the curb.   It wasn’t much, but I was overwhelmed and felt my needless trip was worth it after all.  A few dollars was helpful that day.  File Jul 31, 12 17 08 PM

Sometimes things aren’t wonderful.   We go out to find a nail in our back tire.  That was my surprise last week.   Or we find a tooth that is broken off, which happened to a friend of mine a few weeks back.  Those surprises cause us the pain of repair and annoyance.

Last week I found five pennies as I was walking around my car to get something.  No one was around me or in the parking lane either.  I know it’s not a big deal, but I stooped down to pick them up and thanked God for my momentary joy.  I truly believe all goodness comes from above and we need to be thankful.  Sometimes it appears that no one is around, but we are truly never alone.

Whenever people tell me about their problems, I ask them to keep me in the loop so I can share in their joyful moments as well.   Today I got a call from a person who has been searching for a job for almost a year.  She has applied and interviewed for so many.   Well she called today to tell me a job she wanted came through.   What great news!

So keep me in the loop with things are good or bad.  I will pray for you and rejoice and give thanks when things take the upswing.

I heard Thor Conklin, a Podcaster, talk about Gratitude last week.  It was so good.  Check it out and our Mini Miracles Podcast as well.  It is right here and also available on your phone.   Peace for your day!
