Well with the Thanksgiving memories just around the corner, our focus begins to shift.  Today is Black Friday.   Everyone is busy shopping, hauling out the Holiday Decorations, and thinking of other things.   It is a time when some people are getting depressed and already overwhelmed by it all.

For many people, the Holidays are a time of reverence and joy.  They look to their beliefs and the season of preparation with a respect.   I often begin my Christmas shopping in October to take away the feelings of being overly  rushed and negative in December.   I want things to be thought out and somewhat planned so I can go into the Holiday prepared.  img_7500

Christmas is usually a good time for me.  It is a beautiful time of renewal and puts me in a great mindset.  Even in spite of the sadness around the world, and the needs around us, people are very life giving.   They reach out and extend themselves to others.   I find myself more patient, too.   This year  seems simple.

Last year we had a grandchild born a few days prior to Christmas.  I personally felt stretched with concern, for the office, and for family needs. Following all the above,  our family getting together was wonderful and healing.  It made me think all my concerns were so foolish.

We tend to over think and worry because we don’t stay in the moment.  We project our emotions into high gear and get lost in tomorrow.  So enjoy each moment as you enter the season.   Be kind it is the best gift ever.
