Refreshing Moments …

When I was a small child, we lived in Brookfield, Il.  Living in a hundred year old house meant we were surrounded in an environment that was created for us.  My parents tried to update and make things their own, but the reality was that the house had a style of its own.  File May 13, 10 47 06 AM

My mother took over recreating the yard. She began to add family plantings from my grandmother. She shifted the clay chunks of earth and added sand and mulch.  She added borders of flowers around the yard.   Lilies of the Valley came into our yard.  Now as an adult and mother of grown children, I have off springs of my mother’s Lilies of the Valley.

Today I was greeted by the lovely fragrance of these Lilies of the Valley.   The bright white flowers shimmered with the morning dew.   This was such a lovely unexpected blessing that came my way as I rolled the garbage can back to our yard.  Even though they pop up every May, I was charmed by their freshness after several days of no sun and lots of rain.

I even pulled this bunch of flowers to bring to the office.   They brought joy toFile May 09, 12 30 51 AM the first lady who came into the office too.   She immedicately went to smell them.  Good things need to be shared.

We need in life to be taking the good times, the mini joys and sharing them.   Sharing our “good thoughts” and passing them on to one another.   The joys that came my way today include:  Patients came on time!   A carpenter came to finish up work he promised!  Plans for the day were acknowledged and confirmed!   Online classes have been completed!

What mini miracles are you looking for?  They bloom like flowers all around us.  Look for them.   Seek them out and more will keep coming.  Just try this mindset for a week and see if it isn’t true.   Live by your calendar, do the things you need to do, set aside fear, and just march along to the opportunities that will keep popping up.

Live fully and Delight in Living, each and every moment.   File May 13, 10 47 23 AM
